Deep lilac-purple tones under high light. Alternanthera lilacina produces narrow, lance-shaped leaves with rich purple-lilac undersides and olive-green tops. Under high light, the entire plant takes on a deep wine-red coloration.
High light and CO₂ are important for color intensity. Iron supplementation enhances the purple tones. Trim tops regularly — replanted cuttings root quickly.
