Care Tips: Sagittaria Subulata, commonly known as the dwarf arrowhead or subulate arrowhead, is a fast-growing, low-maintenance aquatic plant ideal for the foreground or midground in aquariums. It has long, narrow leaves that resemble arrowheads and grows quickly under proper conditions. This plant thrives in low to medium lighting, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of aquariums, including low-tech setups. It prefers slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.0–7.5) and grows well in temperatures between 20–28°C. Sagittaria Subulata has a fast growth rate and can quickly spread through runners, forming a dense carpet or grassy look in the aquarium. To keep it under control, regular trimming and removal of excess runners are recommended. It does well in nutrient-rich substrates, and CO2 supplementation can further boost growth, although it will tolerate lower-tech setups. This plant is great for creating a natural, grassy appearance and is often used in aquascapes to provide contrast with other plants. It is also an excellent option for beginners due to its easy care requirements and adaptability to different water conditions.
