Care Tips: Microsorum pteropus, commonly known as Java Fern, is a hardy and beginner-friendly plant. It does best when attached to driftwood or rocks—do not plant it in substrate, as the rhizome may rot. This fern tolerates a wide range of water conditions and does not require CO₂ or high lighting. Remove older leaves occasionally to promote new growth. It reproduces via adventitious plantlets on its leaves, which can be detached and replanted.
