Echinodorus tenellus prefers a nutrient-rich substrate for optimal root development but can also grow in a variety of water conditions. It is tolerant of slightly acidic to neutral pH levels. The plant produces slender, bright green leaves that spread quickly, forming a dense carpet that adds a soft, natural texture to the tank. Regular trimming is necessary to maintain its shape and prevent it from becoming too invasive in the aquarium.
