Care Tips: Rotala Indica Green is a hardy and fast-growing aquatic plant that adds a lush green color to any aquarium. It features narrow, elongated leaves and grows quickly under the right conditions. This plant thrives in medium to high lighting and prefers slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.0–7.5), with temperatures ranging between 22–28°C. Due to its fast growth rate, Rotala Indica Green benefits from regular trimming to maintain its shape and prevent it from taking over the tank. It does well in nutrient-rich substrates and will also benefit from CO2 supplementation, which promotes healthier, more vibrant growth. While it is adaptable to a variety of tank setups, it works best as a midground or background plant, creating a lush and dense growth. Liquid fertilizers and regular water changes will keep the plant thriving. Its rapid growth can help outcompete algae in aquariums, making it a great addition for aquascaping. It can be propagated by cutting and replanting its stems.
