Care Tips: Staurogyne Repens is a low-growing, bushy plant that is perfect for the foreground of aquariums. It has attractive, rounded leaves and forms dense, compact mats. This plant requires medium to high lighting to thrive and prefers slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.0–7.5). Staurogyne Repens grows at a medium rate and typically stays around 5–10 cm in height, making it an excellent choice for carpet plants or as a ground cover. It can be propagated by cutting the stems and replanting them into the substrate. For optimal growth, a nutrient-rich substrate and CO2 supplementation are highly recommended, although it can also grow well in low-tech setups with sufficient light and regular water changes. It can tolerate a range of temperatures between 22–28°C, making it a versatile choice for most aquariums. Regular trimming will keep it compact and dense, while removing old leaves encourages fresh, healthy growth. Staurogyne Repens is ideal for creating a lush, green carpet that provides a great contrast against taller plants in aquascapes.
