Care Tips: Echinodorus peruensis is a graceful and tall background plant that features long, narrow green leaves which can create a dense, grassy appearance in aquascapes. It thrives in medium to high lighting and appreciates a nutrient-rich substrate to support its fast growth. CO₂ injection is beneficial but not mandatory; however, regular fertilization (especially root tabs) is important for maintaining its health and appearance. This plant is ideal for larger aquariums due to its potential height, and it may produce emersed leaves if allowed to grow above the waterline. Occasional trimming helps keep it from overshadowing smaller plants. It prefers stable water parameters with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.5). Echinodorus peruensis adds vertical movement and a natural, wild look to planted tanks, making it a great choice for creating depth and height in aquascapes.
